Thank you for all the well wishes! It's such a wonderful feeling to have people who are rooting for you.
I'm still pregnant--today's beta was 434.
We're really just thrilled, and scared, but I'm trying to push that fear from my mind. I'm feeling totally normal (you know--crampy, can't focus on anything).
The craziest thing happened this weekend--it dawned on us that we might actually have a baby. Conversations about actual pregnancy and babies died down about two years ago when we began to realize it could be a long journey. But we let ourselves dream a little now that we have a real potential timeline.
OK, say it with me, "Do not pee on a stick to confirm you're still pregnant, do not pee on a stick to confirm you're still pregnant."
Adios amigos.
was blog hoping and came across your blog. Congrats!!! woohooo!!! so exciting
ReplyDeleteOh, I had the WORST cramps with my first pregnancy early on. I didn't test until I was over a week late, and the whole time I thought my period was coming any second. I don't know how many times I rushed to the toilet expecting to finally see blood, but it never happened! It was worse when exercising or physically exerting myself (like walking up the thousand steps to my apartment building). I think it's just your tight little primapara uterus being like "what the f, I'm supposed to get bigger?!" Can't focus on anything - hello, welcome to the next nine months! That's interesting, though, is that a PMS symptom for you? I get what I describe as a PMS fog for the day or two before my period, where I can't concentrate on anything, but it definitely happens when I'm pregnant, too. Another reason why every BFP has been unexpected for me!
ReplyDeleteHoly crap, your beta rose FAST! That's great!!! They're supposed to double every 72 hours, right? Yours more than tripled! Not to freak you out, but maybe you might have more than one beansprout growin' in there . . . !!!
I'm so excited for you guys!
LOL, I've seen girls post pictures of the 15 sticks they peed on, just to SEE A SECOND LINE again. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited for you right now!!!!
I won't admit to how many sticks I pissed on ...
ReplyDelete*hangs head in utter shame*
but it was A LOT. I had to keep seeing that second line.
What a fantastic second beta! When is your first ultrasound? Next week, right?
It gives me hope that you got pregnant on your fifth IUI, I did POAS and it was negative so on to #4. Hopefully that is the lucky one for me!
