Today we had our six-week ultrasound. It's confirmed--there's really a baby in there! And the little dude or dudette has a pulse.
As my husband and I waited to go into the examination room, we overheard our doctor talking to a woman about the results of her monitoring ultrasound. He believed there was one follicle. The woman's IVF cycle would have to be canceled; the new goal was IUI. This woman was smiling, and she looked hopeful. Stepping into the exam room for my first ultrasound that wasn't focused on my ovaries, I felt very, very lucky.
Now for a rant unrelated to pregnancy/IF (but tangentially related to blogging):
In the course of my job, I read a lot of resumes. So I see a lot of crazy shit. Yesterday I read a resume in which a candidate had listed "web design" as a skill with a note to see his blog. OK, that's cool. When I went to the URL, the blog was password protected! Um, what? Did you think I wasn't going to check? Next!
Personally, I would think it was great if someone came into an interview and talked about having a blog--I admire those of you who post more often than I do! Anyway, I think it shows that the person is tech-savvy, disciplined, all that good stuff. But yeah, don't actually send me there if I can't access it.
Word.
So grouchy. I love it.
