Trigger

Came back from monitoring an hour or so ago, and tonight I trigger. The news is good: two follicles, one 19 mm, one 22 mm. I've never had one over 18 mm, so I'm hopeful. Lining also looks fine: 10 mm, which is much improved from the whopping 6 mm of last cycle. This cycle I took Clom!d 25 mg CD3-CD7 and Gon@al 75 IU on CD9.

I guess I should mention somewhere in this blog that I was dx'd with mild PCOS a year ago. Since then our IF dx has been downgraded (er, upgraded?) to unexplained. The PCOS dx was made on the basis of follicle counts and irregular cycles, and lately, both have moved toward normal, which is a good thing. Anyway, would love to hear from people who have had similar experiences.

Speaking of triggers, I pulled the trigger and deleted this blog the other night. It's all new and scary. I'll probably delete and undelete a few more times, so if anybody is actually reading, be prepared! For some reason though this morning, I felt the need to put it out there again.

Tomorrow night is the first night of Passover. Two years ago, we had just begun trying. The day before the first seder, I got my period. Last year, we'd just finished our IF work-up and gotten the news about PCOS. So I took Passover as an opportunity to start a low-GI diet. Now this year, I'd be breaking matzah the night before my third IUI. Wonder what next year will bring . . .

  1. Hey, lady, I'm thinking about you today. I really do think this is your best shot yet! Hope the IUI goes (or went) smashingly and that at next year's seder you won't be able to sit down and eat your matzoh ball soup because you'll be walking the halls with a grumpy little tomato face!
